I was creating a redstone firework shooter in creative mode. I had to invert the signal into a deactivator (meaning I used a redstone torch to make the signal turn off the piston,) but I noticed when a sent the signal, the piston did not retract. It only turned off when I removed the redstone torch.

Really? Are you sure, because the piston is diagonal from the lever.
As you can see in the screenshot in the attachments, the piston is still pushed out when the redstone torch is off.
As you can see in my attachment, the redstone torch is on the ground, but is not facing straight upward.

As you can see in my attachment, the piston has not retracted, though the redstone torch is in off-state.
Yes, it does happen in 13w01b. Just not very often.
As you see in my attachment, the torch is on the ground, but the torch is not facing upward. No, I did not use a paint program to rotate it.
Are you sure? Look, the lever is powering the wood plank, the wood plank can only send it's power to something touching it. It can not send power diagonally.
As you see in my attachment, there is no reason for the piston to be active.
You are probably thinking I hid a redstone torch under it, but why don't you try breaking a piston signal?
As you can see in my attachment, I had already managed to get obsidian without being told.
Even after they said they had fixed mobs destroying crops, it has not been fixed.
As you can see in my attachment, the mobs have broken some crops.
As you see in my attachment, the paintings are placed on unusual blocks. This may not be a bug at all.
As you see in my attachment, the signs are connected to each other, but do not seem to touch. The floating signs should be falling off as dropped items, but they're not.
This is same with many other polygon blocks.
As you see in my attachments, the pig is not even moving. I stood there taking screenshots for two minutes before it moved.
Lol, screenshots until night time! If you look in the background, you will see I am in the same location.
Try it yourself, if you make a 4x4 block of stairs, it will not make a pyramid shape like it should.
Notice in my attachment, all of those stairs should be forming pyramid-
like shapes.
As you see in my attachment, the ice is not melting from the torch and has not melted after two Minecraft days.
See in my attachment, there is no light source.
As youu see in my attachment, the spawner is in a dungeon, but the cobblestone walls are seen as ores and smooth-stone. The coal ore sticking out is a chest.
Notice in the attachment, the pig is not touching the tree.
The pig acts as if he was walking on invisible blocks.
As you see in my attachment, I searched for items with tag "rocket." All was shown is a firework star.
"rocket and firework"
I have already found the cause. The minecart track does not cover a whole block. The edge of a rail stops just a pixel away from the edge of a block. The minecart falls off the track, but is stopped by the friction of the block.
Also, the edges of a minecart do not have any collision layers. So even if the rail is cover the whole block, the minecart falls of rail before it can reach a near death.
The rail is placed on the block, but does not seem to touch it.
This is the most noticable bug. Even a noob can try this and see that it is true. Soul sand above ice can make you move a block every 2 seconds.
This is not a joke. Some of my screenshots are fake, but just so you can kinda visualize my point.
The patch of grass is my attachment. Do you see the light coming from nowhere?
I did not say it was a bug. Just a suggestion/issue that should be improved.
