Had this issue last night on PS4. Been playing the world for about 6 months no issues. The longer weve played the longer it seems to take to save but it does always save. The interesting thing before what now seems like a corrupt world was that in the last Save and Quit it saved in about 2 seconds. Seemed odd but thought nothing of it. Now when I try to go into the world there is no loading bar and after about 5 minutes I get the "there was a problem loading this world".
The only thing I could think to try was copy world. That worked but when I try to access the copied world the game blue screens almost instantly. Bad times.
Euwills comment is interesting if that's true I guess I'll just keep accessing the world every so often see if it rights itself. Otherwise I guess game over. The only other thing I was thinking was getting the save files off the PS4 onto a PC and trying some of the online video steps on PC?
Have found this as well on PS4. Have played Minecraft on and off for a few years I first killed the wither a few years ago (maybe that was 1.14?) and I didnt have this problem. Tried it twice today and both times he became unplayable in his blue, grounded, block destroying state due to lag from the blocks
@shane n thats odd. Can confirm the workaround worked for me. We typically play on my account which was the only one with a proper psn account behind it. But logged in as my sons local profile I couldn't join. Created him a psn account yesterday and now I can join with my character again.
Interesting you should say you've been getting it after mining a large area as we'd done this on the world that crashed also.
Additionally I've noticed recently on a new world that after digging out a large 30ishx20x20 area crashes have started to happen. I assume it just cant handle certain levels of change on the save file on PS4.
Happened to me too several times on PS4 recently. Going through nether portals and ending up 1000s of cords away from portal. Seems easily reproducible.
Can confirm we've seen this on our PS4 world. On one world just kept being teleported way away from the original portal on the Nether side. I didnt think to check if the co-ordinates were same as the Overworld but I'm guessing thats whats happening.
And on a newer world recently I ended up in the Nether but no portal was generated on the other side. I'm guessing, again, the portal was generated in the correct place but I'd been placed at the same co-ords as the Overworld so miles away from where I should have been.
Either way it seems fairly easy to recreate on PS4.
I really don't understand this claim its sporadic or difficult to reproduce. Up until the recent update I'd never seen it before. Now on a 6 month old world, a several years old world and a new world I've seen it on PS4. Everytime I go through a portal. I took screenshot tonight just to confirm its same coordinate problem. Thankfully copied my world before trying and deleted it after. Its very easy to recreate.
Will just avoid the nether / end and try this out with backups first after each update.

This appears to be fixed in 2.26 patch for PS4. Only tested on 1 portal so far (with a back up first) but went to right place.
As a side note caves and cliffs experimental feature looks awesome!
