I know the version is not out yet but I found a bug when playing the snapshot, namely that when you try to break a doublechest in survival, a ghost doublechest remains. The texture is still there, but the block and hitbox are gone. In the attachment you see how I placed a bookshelf through the one half of the ghost chest // Also happens with single chest. // Item used to break chest was Iron Axe. // Same happens when broken by hand or any tool in survival mode.
Sorry, I was in the snapshot just playing around (I am recently always in the latest snapshot because i find it interesting to see the development) and then found this when placing a trapdoor, Indeed I do not have total access, It's just a snapshot, but I wanted to prevent it from being in actual minecraft 1.8 when it does come out.
