I add that this is very annoying. Similar to having to click on a slot on the hotbar before clicking on the item in the inventory. It would be best if this were either changed to allow the repositioning of items in the hotbar, or reverted to the original style of the most recent items automatically filling the hotbar from the left.

Amusing the first few times (I love the new Warp drive feature guys!!), it gets annoying rapidly.
