Thanks for posting Kieran. I have the same issue. On Xbox One Legacy i had a survival world with 2000 plus hours of work, but since i converted to bedrock i put in over 200 more hours on my world only to have my spawners to be vacant. I thought like the rest of the of us did, that mojang would fix this in no time seeing as they pushed Bedrock Edition out a month before the release date was scheduled, I thought hey maybe i'll go build something else and wait for the patch, but it's been 2 months and Mojang has not done anything to resolve this.
Same for me, i exported my xbox edition world to the bedrock edition, from there i made the world into a realm. As you said before my mob spawners are empty and not spwaning, witch hut too. My villagers will not trade with me. I did make my world peacful and then changed back to hard.
same thing happened to me, but i did get it to transfer safely. try making it infinite world on xbox first and then transfer to bedrock
same with my world, also witch hut does not produce mobs.

my witch hut farm does not produce witches as well.
hello, thanks for writing this bug. i have this problem as well as all other spawners (empty) in my xbox converted world. i nedd minecraft to fix this ASAP or its not even playable.
this whole new minecraft is unplayable on a converted world
also on twitter no talks about thee mobs being broke or any acknowledgment of the issue
in my converted world the only spawner that is not empty is the blaze spawners
Thanks for reporting this Mark. I have the same issue and mojang has not responded nor have they done anything to resolve this. We as the community need to hold them responsible for this disaster, the game has gone way downhill since the release of Bedrock edition.

when you first convert world the settings on bedrock edition have your world on creative, you have to change to survival and disable cheats before you first log in
