Changed Description:
Client dev log: http://bit.ly/1ajw9F7
I started up my MC survival world, spawned beside 5 furnaces... and could not click into the game windows then said "Java... is not responding" so I closed MC, but then my windows explorer crashed along with Skype and Internet explorer.
Update: Only happens when I play a world, save, leave the window for a while, come back and open a world. Did not crash my other java app's this time though.

Useing a texture pack might cause that, try default.
Uinstall Optifine, On my PC using Optifine alway's cause's that, so try with a fresh jar file.
MCPatcher is quite buged with the new launcher.
Using filter's can stop the anvil from being used.
Intended feature on PC, Mac and xBox.
Did you accidentally press f10 or fn & f10 while holding the button, as that will sometimes' cause the computer rather than doing just this;
Start
qqqqq
End
to doing this;
Start
Loop
q
Loop
End
@Grum Yes, you fall into the void and don't die...
Cannot reproduce, only shift + right-clicking opened the inventory and right clicking ride's the horse.
Only happens with texturepacks like "Slender"
Happens me too, close your MC Java file (the one with the crafting table icon) then reopen it through the launcher.
This is saying to mojang, Ug, my server cant keep up with us spawning 30+ mobs, fix it.
I did search anyways
@Kumasasa Thanks' for letting me know, installing now.
That's how its ment to work. Its the BUD affect. As the redstone block buds the piston and the lever causes the block update.
This is for unmodded 1.6.X in a renamed book and quill
