This doesn't just affect that version, I can confirm that this happens on 1.16.201 and I'm pretty sure it also happens on 1.16.210
I can confirm this happened to me on 1.16.210, and I don't think the platform matters.

I got this too, I'm not sure why or how it happened but the second time I killed the dragon I got the 12k xp and the dragon egg. I'm not sure why this happened, but I believe that because of a certain set of actions the game thought that was the first time you killed the dragon.
