Well this was a single player first of all. The block lag seems happen frequently I suppose. I actually tested it out a couple minutes ago and there doesn't seem to be lag, however it did happen multiple times when I opened the game in the past. This happened on my survival mode world, but not on my creative flat world. I suppose it happens at random, but I know it will come back. In my situation, what happened is that I was building my house, and whenever I placed blocks it gave this very quick FPS lag whenever I place a block which just makes it annoying and a nuisance to building. You can't build rapidly without messing up now and then because of the lag.
