This bug occurred to me on a ubuntu server running the minecraft snapshot 14w31a to 14w32d.
To reproduce, start an dedicated server with the configuration setting difficulty to 0. Then go in to the server and change the difficulty to normal using the difficulty command.
After you ran around you'll notice that your hunger will automatically go full every single time.
I'm stupid, I changed the datafile in a custom datapack, and thus it wasn't working. Because mojang has changed the file.
Completely forgot about, sorry.
This issue can be closed, I don't know how to change the status; When hovering "resolved" it says:
A resolution has been taken, and it is awaiting verification by reporter. From here issues are either reopened, or are closed.
But don't see any button that does this.
