I am not able to reproduce it, unfortunately.
Mods, this is a duplicate.
I am quite sure it is due to the fact that chests are more advanced than your average block, and having lots of them rendered at a time drops FPS.
I think this is an issue related to the download server\launcher. You will have to search online for the resources folder for the version you are using.
What is the Y coordinates of the swamp biome? (Enable cheats [No XBOX Live trophies] within Pause>Settings>Game>Activate Cheats, and scroll up til you find "Show coordinates," enable that also.
This issue is now back on 1.6.0.1. I request a reopen.
