When a player is sitting atop an upward facing piston with a block on top, it seems to redirect the player about a fourth of a block in a random direction. that seems to make the player clip into the wall which is causing the player to collide with a block above them. since the game prioritizes the block above the players head collision wise, the pistons move up into the player. i hope this gets fixed soon because virtually all piston elevators are broken, aside from using them in very specific positions which is a pain.

still an issue in 1.14.60
