When I posted this i diddnt realise it was on "web services" instead of a report for the actual game, I cant seem to close this report. I have created a copy of this post but on the correct area. Please close this report. ( MC-261884 )
Im reasonably certain this has always happened in all versions and isnt exclusive to sniffer egg.
Check your keybinds and make sure left mouse button is binded to block break/ RMB for place block
