I also can't feed the sheep or chickens ... haven't tried with pigs yet need some food for them first. Cows are good.
The sheep and chicken know that I'm holding their food, but there is no feed button to feed them. Clicking them just hits them., I'm on iPad version 0.12.1.
I don't think this is "Works as intended". My world was working fine with portals, until I created one far away in the Overworld, it took me fine to a new portal in the Nether but then when I went back in it took me to the first portal I created. Now every Nether portal I create takes me to that first portal ... And I've traveled long distances in the Nether to try and get a new Overworld Portal.
I can reproduce this consistently on my iPad in the current version when connecting to the other ipad in my household. If there is anymore information I can provide please let me know.
To fix I turn on airplane mode, wait, then turn off. Occasionally I have to restart the ipad.
While there is no feed button I can now feed chickens and sheep by pressing and holding on them. Haven't confirmed with pigs, wolves, mooshrooms. I am on iPad 0.12.3. This was not the case before
I have a similar issue on 14.2 iOS. I find if I don't back out of the game or the rare occurrence it crashes I will loose progress and have to build something again. The place where the building was being done is reset back to normal but the items originally used to build it don't get reset. So if I used a lot of iron for hoppers the hoppers are gone and so is the iron. Quite frustrating
This was not a bug, why are we changing this. After so long with so many players using this mechanic once they get to the stage where they understand villagers. This is very poor judgement call by Mojang.

Still there for me in my existing game
