Changed Summary:
Fishing line offset from pole when held in left hand
Deleted Comment:
please note I'm using the left handed setting if that has anything to do with anything
Changed Description:
I was fishing in a new survival world, when I noticed something odd about the rod, the string attached to it was offset by a lot to the left when held in my left hand
Deleted Comment:
it is in fact a duplicate, however, I feel like i gave significantly more detail

Changed Description:
how to recreate:
- open a survival world in 1.18rc1
- get stuff for a boat, craft boat, and place on large body of water
- get into the boat, and use it for a few seconds
- near land (around one block away) get off the boat and look down, wait a second
- try walking on top of the boat
- you move slower than when you sneak when walking on top of the boat
video will be attached later
before you ask, I am NOT pressing sneak

I don't think so, this one is affecting a different part of the rod, as well as only really being a problem on the left hand
I will attach a pic of the right hand holding it too
can confirm in 1.18 rc1 and 1.17.1
i can also confirm that just switching hands does not cause this bug, my default is set to left, and i noticed something similar
can confirm, it in fact isedit: the bug you were talking about has to do more with the animation of the line than the offset that happens when it's already cast, I didn't notice that reporter's bug, I just noticed mine
if you can, can you stick it in "related bugs" or something?
i cannot describe it as a stutter, so no
instead, it's just REALLY slow (albeit smooth) movement
edit: there is similarity, but my bug is different
they might, however, mine requires you to get into the boat first, as opposed to just walk on it like the other bug did,
sorry if i sound rude
mark them as related, thanks
i would love an image, thanks
alright, thanks, thanks for marking the other bug too
