I created a profile on the launcher called "Old Minecraft" with the selected version at 1.5.2. When I click "play" the Minecraft window loads, but with a black screen, or parts of it flashing colors randomly. It never crashes though, it'll just keep flashing til

mean?
This is what happens for me when I try to launch the older versions of Minecraft (1.5.2, 1.5.1).
This error is not specific to 1.5.2, I can use the old launcher, and Minecraft runs fine. But when I try to run Minecraft 1.5.2 on the new launcher, the game does not load.
And the link you gave me tells me I cannot change my graphics card drivers.
I gave up on being able to play Minecraft 1.5.2 on the new launcher a while ago, but after the new updates I attempted to play it again. But the exact same errors persist: The game window flashes randomly and will not respond until it is closed.
I attached a screenshot (using launcher 1.1.4, minecraft version 1.5.2).
And to get back to you Kumasasa, I'm running a Mac so I cannot update my drivers. I'm beginning to think it's my Java version. How do I get Minecraft to run Java 7?
#2 on your link is for OS X 10.6, I run 10.7.5.
And I cannot play in windowed mode. The screenshot I have attached shows what it looks like.
I have confirmed that I cannot run Minecraft 1.5.2 (on new launcher) with Java 1.7 (Update 25).
