Don't think, it will help much, but here are my screenshots. Windows, Xbox, Dungeons, it all uses my same Microsoft Account as far as I can tell:

EDIT: Might not be correct after all. It suddenly works for my girlfriend as well and she didn't update anything. I guess the credits go to Mojang or someone at Microsoft.
Hey, I could fix it for myself.
I needed to update some things in the Microsoft store. Namely one or more of the following. The most liekely candidate would be Xbox Identity Provider.
I have EXACTLY the same thing happening to me. Was playing all day with my girlfriend, now suddenly my mouse didn't seem to work right, making my character go in the opposite direction and stuff like that. Restarted the game and boom, unable to verify ownership. Tried restarting PC, logging out of the Xbox app and back in... no luck so far.
