This issue still exists in releases 1.8.2 and 1.8.3. It isn't resolved.
It exists in the final releases of both 1.8.2 and 1.8.3 for me. I've tried 1.8.1 and it works fine there.
(Using Windows 10 Technical Preview 64bit and Java Version 8 Update 31 (build 1.8.0_31-b13))
The problem still exists in 1.8.4
It's now version 1.8.5 and the problem is STILL present.
Environment-
i5 4690k
MSI GTX 970
8GB 2399MHz DDR3 RAM
Windows 7 SP1 64 bit
Java 1.8.0_45-b14 (Version 8 Update 45)
Problem is still present in 1.8.7
This is happening even when both instances of Minecraft are on the same computer! How hard can it be to fix this?!
I just found this glitch in the new snapshot 15w31c in a village
Disproven in 1.10.2. It might be that people don't expect it to take so long, but coal blocks are a massively energy-dense fuel, so it might appear that the flame isn't going down even though it actually is.
