I recently got a bluetooth keyboard and mouse to be able to play Minecraft with keyboard and mouse on iOS (since support was added in 1.19.10). However, the mouse does not properly function. I cannot press play, settings, or any other buttons on the home page. I cannot open worlds using the mouse, or, really, interact with the UI at all. The mouse does not work with inventory. The only things it works for are breaking blocks and attacking mobs (with left click), and using items or interacting with objects (with right click). This is a pretty serious problem since I’m playing on keyboard and mouse, but to use any UI buttons, including inventory, crafting, etc, I must touch the screen with my fingers, which defeats the purpose of using a mouse.
Please fix this.P.S: Here’s a link to a video that addresses this exact issue

Note: I've heard from people that kbm works on iPad, but its definitely broken on iPhone. On the bug report video, which is linked below, people have said in the comments that they are having similar issues, so its not just me or my device (Which is an iPhone 11]. My brother, who has an iPhone 8, also has the same problems, so its not just device-specific: I'm updating this issue because the bugs were not fixed in 1.19.20, and a new bug has appeared.
Full list of the bugs known to me:
-The Mouse is unable to be used in menus such as the startup screen, settings, and any other menu.
-You cannot use the inventory with the mouse. I.e: You can’t select items, put the items in the inventory, craft, or do any other mouse functions in inventory. You HAVE to use your fingers (which defeats the purpose of having a keyboard and mouse to play).
-The iOS mouse cursor does not stay centered on the screen during gameplay, but instead goes all around the screen.
-As a result of the last bug, the mobile controls flash onto the screen if you click while the cursor is on certain parts of the screen (this does not happen every time, but it seems to occur most often when the cursor is at the edge of the screen).
-The Chat seems to be broken. Every time you press shift or caps lock to capitalize a letter or add a punctuation mark, the chat box is no longer highlighted, and you cannot type inside until you tap it again.
-Sometimes with the chat, pressing enter on the keyboard does not send the message, but makes it so you cannot type inside it.
Now for the bug that has happened in 1.19.20:
-Since players have to use fingers for inventory and menus, the mobile controls do appear on the screen. In 1.19.10 and 1.19.11, you could simply move the mouse and continue playing, but in 1.19.20, you now have to drag your finger across the screen and then click for it to work (this isn’t always necessary because sometimes it functions like in 1.19.10 and 1.19.11, but it is needed most of the time.Since its a brand new feature on iOS, I understand that there are some bugs, and I hope that Mojang will be able to fix the bugs in later updates.

Most of the bugs are reproduced through regular gameplay.1) Upon starting up the game, you will notice that the mouse cursor has no effect on any of the UI buttons. You cannot press play, open settings, go to the Marketplace, or anything else. Similarly, you will not be able to click on worlds to open them.
2) To recreate the inventory bug, simply open the inventory and attempt to grab items or craft stuff.
3) When you enter a world, move the mouse around, and you will see that the cursor is not centered on the screen.
4) The best way to recreate the bug where the mobile controls appear is to arrange the cursor over the hearts in the upper left corner, and click repeatedly. It may not happen, because as I said, it does not happen every time,

So, I’ve looked at the change logs for 1.10.11 and 1.19.20 and they don’t say anything about fixing the issue. I just wanted to say that there are multiple comments on my bug report videos of other players on iPhone having the same problems. It seems like it works on iPad, but not on iPhone.
Here’s an updated list of the problems with keyboard and mouse on iOS:
-Mouse does not function to click any menus (i.e. the play button, anything in settings, etc).-The mouse does not work for inventory or crafting, whether to click on items, select items, or clicking and dragging.
-The iOS mouse cursor does not stay locked in the center of the screen during normal gameplay (meaning it goes all around the screen when you move the mouse). This causes problems with gameplay. Examples of this are: Accidentally pressing the bar used to close apps while looking down and clicking, which closes the game. Occasionally, the mobile, Xbox controls occasionally flash on the screen when the cursor is in a specific spot and you click.
-If you have used the Assistive Touch menu recently, when the mouse is over that area, the touch controls appear and all input from the keyboard and mouse is halted.
These are all the ones I can currently think of. I will update the list if I discover or remember more.
The steps to recreate the bugs are simply to attempt to play the game with keyboard and mouse on an iPhone.
I have a world that is almost a year and a half old (created in 1.17.34, I believe), and today I joined a friend’s realm, which had me download some resource packs (not sure if this has anything to do with the glitch, but I’m including it in case it does). I played in the realm for a few minutes, then left and joined my world.
Upon loading in, I appeared at spawn (several hundred blocks from where I logged off) with nothing in my inventory, no armor, shield, or levels. My entire player save data had been deleted. This sort of thing had happened to me before, on a friend’s world in the first 1.19 update. I had an older phone then, and after a huge lag spike, I was booted from the world, and my Player save data vanished.
However, that situation differs from this one in the facts that 1) It is my own personal world, hosted locally on my device. 2) I am on a newer phone, and 1.19 has become much more stable since the initial, extremely buggy iOS release. 3) The data was not deleted permanently this time.
I left the world and loaded up a backup from yesterday and played for a bit. Then, to screenshot what had happened, to show to my friends, I reentered the original world file, and to my surprise, everything was normal again. I loaded in at the right spot in the world, with all my levels and inventory.
I’m not sure how serious of a bug this is. Is this a form of world corruption? Or is it just a bug in Minecraft? I got my stuff back but I’m not entirely sure I want to keep using the original file of the world if there’s a chance it’s corrupted.
I also forgot to mention earlier, but I changed a setting in my Microsoft account (the one that allows you to create or join parties or clubs) and that may have something to do with it. I’m not an expert on this.
This is both a bug report, and a quest for answers.

Can confirm. I’m on an iPhone 8 and it never ran Minecraft badly (it actually worked better than my friend’s Xbox). But since 1.19, it has lagged extremely bad. Chunks take ages to load, sounds load several seconds after they should, Framerate drops, and the game occasionally freezes. And to top it all off, I got disconnected from a friend’s world due to lag and when I loaded back in, my entire save file for that world had been lost (meaning inventory and levels vanished).
I know it says the issues are resolved up there, but they are very much not. I was playing just a few minutes ago, and chunks load so slowly to the point where I almost can’t go exploring anymore cause every 5 seconds I have to sit and wait 10 for the chunks to load
Seeing as others are having this same problem, it’s clearly not just my hardware, and hopefully Mojang cam fix the iOS version of the game, cause it’s close to unplayable with the lag I’m getting.
I did that and it didn’t do anything. The mouse still doesn’t work to click anything but attacking/destroying and use item/interact with stuff like doors.
Here’s an updated video talking about the bug:
https://youtu.be/78Vrs_rc5Oo
Sorry. I thought it would be simpler to just create a new one instead of editing the other. I have updated the original issue report with the bug list. Should I delete it?
Idk why it was marked as resolved but it isn’t
The game has many many bugs when it comes to using kbm on iPhone. It seems like it works on iPad, but on iPhone.
Menus cannot be used (including inventories, settings, the main menu, etc).
The chat seems broken (you cannot press Shift otherwise it stops typing in the chat box).
The mouse does not stay centered on the screen, instead the cursor flies all around (which can cause issues in certain parts. Issues include clicking while the mouse is in certain areas brings up the mobile controls, and pressing the bar at the bottom of the screen [used to close the app] it will close without warning).
After using your finger to craft or control menus (as you need to do), you have to press and drag your finger across the screen and click the mouse in order to move the camera by moving the mouse (it becomes unresponsive otherwise).
Since 1.19.40 is now officially out, I want to write an update with the keyboard and mouse support.
Note: This only pertains to iPhone. As I do not have an iPad, I cannot test it on iPad, but from another recently added comment, it works much better on iPad. This is a report for the iPhone version.
At first inspection, there has been some improvement in 1.19.40. Menus and inventories still can’t be accessed, but now you do not have to turn on Split Controls in Touch Settings to see and use the crosshairs (previously, even though the crosshairs sometimes appeared, you could not place or break blocks without Split Controls turned on). There are other aspects of keyboard gameplay that I have not yet tested, but overall that seems to be the only improvement. As I mentioned before, the menus and inventory still cannot be used with the mouse. Also, the mouse cursor does not lock at the center of the screen or disappear as it should when in mouse mode. This results in accidentally closing the game when clicking on the home bar after looking down, and clicking at random parts of the screen will cause the touch controls to appear.
If i discover any other improvements or new bugs, i will make another comment for that.
1.19.50 did not do anything for keyboard control on iPhone.
please fix this Mojang
This happened to me recently in my main survival world (nearly a year and a half old). I think it’s linked to realism, cause I joined my friend’s realm and then left and joined the world. Upon leaving and rejoining, everything was normal.
