Does this issue occur every time you boot the Launcher?
Yes. Every time.
If not, how long does it take to reach that level of %, does the Java game needs to be open?
The game does not need to be open for the launcher to reach and stay at 100% CPU. The launcher stays at 100% before the game starts, and after the game starts.
Do you use any mods in Launcher?
I do not. Not yet, at least.
Have you tried to use 'Disable hardware acceleration' option?
This did the trick, it seems. Does this prevent the game from using hardware acceleration, or just the launcher?
Can you please upload launcher_log file from your .minecraft folder?
I had to compress the log file. A fresh log file exceeds 40MB. It appears launcher also doesn't like Pi-hole blocking the domain sentry.io. launcher_log.txt.gz
Launcher uses 99% CPU the moment it is opened and continues to do so until being force-quit. Launcher remains active and resource-consuming while the game is running even though the "Keep the Launcher open while games are running" option is unchecked / disabled.
