Music that has been replaced in any unofficial resource pack makes that track silent.
I tried to make a resource pack that would replace background music and music discs with my own music. I converted the music files to .ogg, put them all in the right places and renamed them, and I loaded the pack into Minecraft. Any music that I had replaced was instead replaced with complete silence, including music discs. I checked the sound volume, everything was at 100. I thought I might have been doing something wrong, so I downloaded someone else's pack. Their pack did the same thing. However, in any official resource pack I had downloaded from the marketplace, the custom music worked and played how it should have. I have had this problem for several months now.
I tried to make a resource pack that would replace background music and music discs with my own music.
I converted the music files to .ogg (without any file data such as song name, artist, etc.), I made sure I put them all in the correct places and renamed them.
When I loaded the pack into Minecraft, all of the music that I had replaced was instead replaced with complete silence, including music discs.
I checked the sound volume, everything was at 100%. I thought I may have been doing something wrong, so I downloaded a different resource pack to make sure. I loaded their pack into the game, but it did the same thing.
However, when I load the Adventure Time Mashup Pack , the background music has been changed.
The strange thing is, the recently released marketplace map, 10 Years of Minecraft by BlockWorks, contains its own resource pack that replaces 2 records. These records are replaced by silence as well.
I'm not the only one with this problem. I have 2 other friends that use the same version of Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition that have the same problem.

In my case, even the Zombie Villagers that naturally spawn don't make their proper sounds.
