REALMS-69943 of my villagers have despawned. 2 were nametagged. It appears others are having the same issue. See comments on
MCPE-26338.Each villager is locked into a small area using a gate. The compound the villagers live in is surrounded by a tall stone brick wall.
Expected result: villagers will be present in their designated areas.
Actual result: upon logging in, random villagers have disappeared. They do not reappear if I restart the game. In fact, more villagers then disappear. So far we have lost 3 key villagers with top level enchantments to trade, so I'm sure you can appreciate this is annoying.

I have checked my internet connection and firewall, and neither are the culprit. Other friends who use my realm are having the same issue. They use different providers.
I have had this game for several months, but have only been unable to play on it since Monday 26th January. I have not changed any settings on my computer, nor have my friends.
I'm running 1.16.201
Steps to reproduce:
1. Click on my realm (named Pandemonium)
2. The purple loading screen appears saying "Loading resource packs" and a 'cancel' button. I do not click this button.
3. Error message 1 appears saying "Unable to connect to world. Please check your internet connection and try again."
4. Error message 1 disappears and is replaced by error message 2: "Unable to connect to world."
@bugsbugsbugs thank you finding the ticket - I was having trouble but I knew I couldn't be the only person experiencing this bug.
I've briefly read through the
MCPE-21416, and I was wondering if there is any further info I could provide that might help the devs (for example if the villagers compounds were on chunk borders).Many thanks

I'm running 1.16.201
EXPECTED:
After a period of time, my realm loads up in the last place my character saved.
ACTUAL:
Error message 1 appears saying "Unable to connect to world. Please check your internet connection and try again." After a second or two, error message 1 disappears and is replaced by error message 2: "Unable to connect to world."
I have tried Jadon's work around, but this doesn't work either.
I have spoken to Microsoft customer support. Their representative Jarley R tried everything they could to fix the issue, but came to the conclusion that the problem lies in the game and there is nothing that can be done on their end. The provided me with a case number if you need to get details about what they did to try to resolve the issue: 1517330877.
I've tried Neil B's fix and it hasn't fixed the issue. All 6 of us that play on my realm started experiencing the issue at the same time, and none of us changed our password recently.
When will this be fixed please, Mojang?
It was definitely worth a shot, but thought someone should comment that it may not fix it for everyone, in case Mojang closes this ticket again.
