Hey peoples, got a late-night problem for you all! I opened up my minecraft expecting to be able to play as normal, but when I open a world or join a server, it freezes for a second then closes! oh noes!
The launcher then shows a bunch of text saying "A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment" then a bunch of random text below that, and it says to report the crash to the java website, which I did,
and was then told to report the bug to the game creator's website.Minecraft does not create a crash report, but instead creates "hs_err_pid3856.log"
I am able to play 13w38a and 13w38b fine, but 13w38c snapshot does not work.
I tried to find a solution on the net, updated my drivers, updated my java, etc, etc, and none of it worked so I am kinda running out of solutions.
any ways, hope I can get some help or suggestions on how to fix this so I can continue playing

I'm pretty sure tnt minecarts only explode when they run over a powered activator rail, and then derail.
I am pretty sure this has to do with the game rule mobgriefing (correct me if I am wrong). is mobgriefing set to false?
This has happened for a while now, and even if it isn't intended, I think it is kind of a cool feature.
What exact version did the minecarts stack on top of each other, after they were pushed onto a rail? I tested this in 13w06a, 1.4.6, and 1.4.5 and they always would fall into eachother on the tracks. It would be helpful if the exact version was known when the carts actually did this
Yes, this needs to be fixed. I built an all stone brick mob fighting arena on a server, and one of the mobs you had to fight was silverfish...
is there any steps to reproduce this error? I tried putting my head in a chest, but it doesn't work for me.
Tried this and it works as expected, no "missing texture" thing happens when I tested it.
it was created after the snapshot.
Ok, now it does the same thing. It appears that animations in zip files do not work, but they work fine when in folders. Tested with several packs in both folder and zip form.
I tried, and it does seem to work on apples and poison potatoes, but the drop rate is so low to begin with, it doesn't make much difference.
Edit: tested this with a hacked-in fortune 40 pickaxe, and got an average of 5 apples per tree, or about 0.1 apples per leaf.
seems to work fine for me.
too bad I did not see this sooner. I am an admin on a server and me and a few others were testing the setblock command. we killed the server with this a few hours ago and now none of us can join the server
Still happens in 13w41b. Hope this gets fixed soon.
happens to me. my windows 8.1 computer gets this error quite frequently (about 15-30 times a week) while my windows 7 laptop has never gotten this error. I have tested this with an ethernet connection.
