Changed Summary:
Version 1.8 Ubuntu Server does not broadcast on LAN.
Changed Description:
Copy and pasted world from Ubuntu to Windows server and LAN broadcasting worked. So not a setting specific to the world. After a short time the LAN broadcasting stopped work on windows server as well. Now have to use phantom to get game to broadcast on the LAN. Can still add as server. Creating a new game does not resolve this.
Will it use as much memory is available? I have a linux server with only this running and it has 8 gigs of ram and I am getting lag. Does the presence of a graphics card help when hosting a server? Is CPU of great consideration? I am a little confused by the term "seems to". Is that verified?
Hi Team,
So looks like this was caused by a custom port being used on the server. Once I moved back to the native 19132 I was able to see it broadcasting on the LAN.
