I am not using a texture pack, and holding F3 and c for 10 seconds does make it crash but I don't get a crash report. I get one when I do it on 1.4.7 also I haven installed any mods on my 1.5 minecraft yet
As far as I can tell it may have been a bad .jar or something, I can't send anyone that .jar because its been a long time since then. I have had to replace my harddrive(and the computer I had the problem on is no longer In use). In short, I had a bad .jar and overwriting part of it or replacing it fixed it.
The reason I'm leaving this comment is because I keep getting random e-mail notifications from comments that were made around 2 years ago

I just installed minecraft forge + one other mod and I can craft wooden tools now, but if I remove them I cant craft any tools
It just closes there is no crash screen and the .minecraft/crash-reports only has a crash from when I was using moded 1.4.7
I re-downloaded minecraft 1.5 and it fixed the problem(I should have done that before anything else).
