Some of my crops seem to become entities (jump out of the ground) spontaneously.
It is on a public server in a protected region, including when the crop is in a house with a lockette door.Put the summary of the bug you're having here
Some times when I log in I find that planted crops have becomeentities or disappeared. Log block does not show any actions taken to harvest the crop by me or others. This happens most commonly to sugar cane. A row was planted in grass blocks next to water channel and running north-south.
It has also happened to a row of carrots running north-south and two blocks from a water channel.Steps to Reproduce:
1. Plantcrop next to water or one block from water
2. Wait
3. log inSome of my crops seem to become entities (jump out of the ground) spontaneously.

Some times when I log in I find that planted crops have become entities or disappeared. Log block does not show any actions taken to harvest the crop by me or others. This happens most to sugar cane when it is next to water which is located in a neighbouring chunk
It also happens to cocoa when it is attached to a wood block which is located in a neighbouring trunk
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Dig a water channel along the eastern end of a chunk
2. Plant the sugar cane along side the channel, on the neighbouring chunk (East of the water channel)
3. Head East a long way (whatever it takes to unload both the water channel chunk and the sugar cane chunk
4. Head back West so that each of the chunks load one after the other
5. Sugar cane will no longer be planted

This also happens to empty mine carts
I am planting the sugar cane on gRass blocks, not gLass blocks.
It seems to be an issue when certain crops are planted at the edge of a chunk (sugar cane and cocoa beans) and the block they need to be next to is on the next chunk (water and wood)
It certainly is worth trying out.
Do you know the address for any vanilla survival servers?
Any one got time to try this out in single player (I can't play it right now)? It may be affected as well.
The F3 command now tells you your position in a chunk and which chunk it is - makes it easy to place stuff on the edges.
