It's probably not a bug, and it sorts itself out fairly quickly now that I redownloaded (just to see if that would make a difference), but it's never happened before.
Sorry for the duplicate but there are a rather significant amount of issues relating to skins and most of the ones I found were reporting the opposite (everyone else being Steve but the bug reporter seeing their own skin).
