Changed Description:
Bone Meal shot from Dispenser will not grow grass on grass blocks.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Place dispenser on grass blocks.
2. Place stone block behind with a button on it
3. Fill dispenser full (all slots, 64 stack) of bone meal
4. Press buttonIf the block in front of the dispenser has seeds, melon or tree sapling, they will grow after a couple clicks of the button.
If the block in front of the dispenser is a grass block, nothing happens. It should cause grass/flowers to grow.
Yes, to the side and from below, bonemeal dispensed from dispensers does cause grass and flowers to grow.
However, from the sides or below, dispensed bone meal will NOT grow seeds, melons, trees, etc. The dispenser must be ON TOP of the adjacent block.
This logic does not make sense to me. If I can grow everything else, why not grass and flowers?
I understand that, bonemealing (is that a word!?) a seed/sapling block is targeting the block above the grass block.
Bonemealing the grass block does not convert the block to grass or flowers, it "spawns" in grass or flowers in the air block above it.
My point is, shouldn't the the game detect that?
Try this! Try bonemealing a grass block, with a grass block on top of it, or several. Surprising!
