Confirmed, A and D keys have no effect on direction. Where was this change in behaviour announced? Surely this is an unintentional side effect of combining the horse navigation with the boat's. Seems dumb to me.

Happens to me on my client SMP games every once in a while.
That isn't a bug. Your head cannot occupy the same space as another block or you suffocate... much like real life

The dog will not follow you until you restart the game. The dog does rotate to point at you but otherwise ignores you.

Confirmed. Happens in 12w50b. All you need to do to reproduce it is [edit:] just open the game an play it, it happens a lot.
