Upon double-clicking on the launcher icon in launchpad or right-clicking and selecting open in Finder, the Minecraft Launcher does nothing, it doesn't bounce as all other apps do, it doesn't appear in the taskbar, it doesn't give me any sort of feedback, nothing happens. Then, if I go to try and move the launcher to trash to delete it and reinstall it, it says it is open when it is still not in the taskbar or in the list of open applications. The only way I've found to open the Minecraft Launcher successfully is to restart my MacBook every time I want to play, this is a huge pain, as you might expect.
Edit: In case I didn't make it clear because I don't think I did, restarting my computer allows the Launcher to open, after a while however, it no longer will.
On a 1.15.2 server, my friend made a giant iron farm, when there is a zombie, it brings in multiple stacks per minute, but with no zombie it is useless. We've tried naming the zombie and having it hold items but it just keeps disappearing (it's been wearing mob heads so the sun can't burn it). This is a big issue as the only known way to prevent mobs despairing is naming them, but that doesn't seem to work. Also, when the zombie despawns, the minecraft stops moving, so we can't even make a zombie spawner to replenish the minecraft constantly.
