Changed Description:
When I clicked the Cancel button for "connecting to the realm" it did
not work because itthen connected me to the realmwhen I went intomy single player world andanything else I did.When I clicked the Cancel button for "connecting to the realm" it did brought me to the realm main screen then connected me to the realm. I also tried to join my single player world and it connected me to the realm after I click the cancel button.

Have you tried? Because it said "resolved". So you should go to minecraft 1.13 NOT 1.8.3 and try plz.
