By having a piston push a Shulker Box right as you break it, when you place the shulker box back down, it will have the break look on it. (I have Console, Java and Bedrock so I tested it on all platforms)
Another output it can have (more common on Bedrock and Console but still appears on Java) is it will automatically break whatever pushed the shulker box (blocks or pistons) no matter the hardness.

When you summon a Zombie with the NBT Tag "DrownedConversionTime:1" it summons a Drowned Zombie, which is how it should work.
But when you summon a Zombie Villager or Zombie Pigmen with this NBT Tag it still summons a Drowned, every other mob this does not happen, including Husks (it summons a zombie because it goes to zombie than drowned) and Zombie Horses.
Zombie Villagers and Zombie Pigmen do not drown so it does not make sense why it does with commands.

Update: The texture will appear on whatever block you placed where the shulker box was, and if you start mining the block while walking towards it, it'll continue the damage. So you can break a shulker box, place obsidian, walk and mine and it'll break it in a second.
