And I checked my graphics options and they were completely fine.

When I jumped off a 20 block high stack, I started gliding but I just fired a rocket into the air instead of propelling myself. I don't know if it's a problem with the game, or I'm just doing something wrong. It worked before!
I had the same thing but with bread. I see some random bread on the ground, I look away for five seconds, and when I look back they're gone.
Just happened to me today on 1.8.7.
Not fixed! 1.8.7 still has it!
I fixed it by turning VBOs on.
