1.18 has come with a large number of performance issues on Switch. While we were all expecting this, it shouldn't be this bad, I'm sure. For example, chunks can take multiple minutes to load, meaning the player is forced to wait on the chunks to load before continuing on their journey. Another issue is massive lag spikes that makes it impossible to do nearly everything. These are only a couple of the problems, and I'm not going to get started on loading times now. Attached is a video showing the lag spike issue, specifically a problem with picking up items. If I take the time to record other performance issues, I'll be sure to put them here.
All of these bugs have been recorded using a 12-chunk render distance, which is the recommended distance on Switch.

Worn armor doesn't accurately show the durability that it has. When mending the armor (using the enchantment), the armor durability stays the same until it is picked up and put back on (see
linked video). And while the video doesn't show it, the durability bar can be seen jumping around while taking repetitive hits (I couldn't recreate it like my discovery of it, so you'll just have to take my word for now). While holding armor in the player's hand while using mending, the problem doesn't occur, which of course means that tools aren't affected by this. I haven't tested it yet, but this could affect shields as well.

Producing the bug:
1. Put on some armor and lose some durability
2. Gain enough experience to mend the armor
3. Open the inventory, pick up the armor, and place it back on to see that the durability bar changed.What should happen: The durability bar should accurately show the durability after mending worn armor specifically.
What happens: The durability bar doesn't update to show accurate durability, and the player must pick up the armor in the inventory and put it back down for it to update.
I've noticed the same problem on Switch.

MCPE-141539is still a thing! No solutions given work for console players. Please fix it, I'm begging you!If I'm not mistaken, a similar problem occurs with /fill. The /fill problem makes more sense, but I just thought I should bring it up just in case.

it should be mentioned that before 1.18.30, this was not such a bad problem. This problem most likely has to do with MCPE-142934, but considering there were signs of it before, I think its safe to assume it is its own problem.
