Update: I simply just moved my original minecraft folder somewhere else and re-downloaded the launcher, forcing minecraft to create new files. This will resolve the problem, however, you will need to transfer worlds, resource packs, etc. over to your new minecraft folder
Whenever I open the the Minecraft Launcher, it attempts to update. Around halfway through the update it stops and another pop-up appears saying 'Unable to update the Minecraft Native Launcher.'
