This can happen on any seed, not just two mentioned. Tested with seed 4.
Yes, it nearly always generate on Ancient Hunt if Nether Fortress is present.
Oddly enough it always generate before last section prior to floodgates.Update: see later screenshots.
This secret very rarely generates (it is even rarer than secret from Woodland Prison) but if I find another one with this bug I will sent video.
Ok, i played another Ancient Hunt in which, Nether Fortress is present, but this time the blocking wall does not appear, so it looks like certain seeds only affected by this.

Unlike with previous right side is passable this time.
Did you use exploding crossbow or one of unique variants, especially imploding crossbow? These have explosion damage, not arrow damage so deflect enchantment does not work on these creepers.
