From the Minecraft installation on new user account.
Downloaded new launcher, updated Minecraft to 1.6.2. Logged in, pressed play, waited, and nothing happened. According to Windows Task Manager, javaw.exe shows up in processes, but again the game never starts. No error messages or crash reports. I've "reinstalled" Minecraft and I have reinstalled Java to no avail

Edit 7-16-13: After many failed attempts, I went back to 1.5.2. Downloaded MagicLauncher to add mods, decided to test out 1.6.2 with MagicLauncher and it worked on the first try.
I tried to install Minecraft on two other computers and it worked on the first time on both of them. These two computers were both Vista SP2 (32-bit), and had Java 7 update 25 installed. The computer where Minecraft won't start is 64-bit (Vista SP2) which is the only difference I can see. Perhaps that has something to do with it? Although I have reinstalled Java (I tried both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions) and came up with the same results (game doesn't start.)

Will do. I also got rid of that custom Java argument as well.
I created another user account, installed Minecraft again, pressed play, and nothing
Here you go.
Got it to work with MagicLauncher. Still don't know why I could never get the game started with the standard launcher. Thanks for trying to help Kumasasa and Talven.
Kumasasa, downloaded the latest launcher and it still wasn't working for me. Will stick to Magic Launcher for now. Attached is the dev console from my latest attempt.
