Still an issue in 13w10a.
This issue exists because of the hitbox bug. The newly grown adult animal keeps the baby-sized hitbox for collision detection, but the adult-sized one for damage/suffocation until you relog. Adult animals with the baby-sized collision box can therefore walk into a wall and suffocate in it.
I agree, there is nothing wrong with any of the lava flows in the screenshots. There is a lighting bug at the top of the lava stream in the first three screenshots which makes the lava hard to see (since it is dark).
Considering all the work that's currently being done on the lighting engine, I think this bug should maybe be closed...
Added the enhanced image to show that all lava streams are present and correct. The lighting bug made the right-most stream hard to see because it was too dark.
My horse was tethered outside my house and walked up against the wall and just started suffocating. It was free to walk away (not stuck) and the tether was even pulling it away from the wall, yet it stood there and died.
Can't you just make mob's hitboxes (for damage/suffocation) slightly smaller than their collision hitbox to allow room for error? ...or as with players, let them be pushed out of a block when inside it?
Confirmed in 14w29b. I just noticed this bug while playing survival. There's a ghast in the nether pretty close above me who hasn't noticed me, with no obstacles anywhere between us (big, open cavern).
Perhaps the title should read: "Anvil rendering error in item frames".

There are a lot of related bugs which are essentially duplicates. They are all related to the baby/adult collision box mix-up.

Yes, the lava in the background is the same. It is there, but very dark. If you still can't see it I'll upload a photoshopped version...

So I guess my case stands. There is no lava bug here, only lighting bugs which are already being addressed.

This is not a duplicate of
MC-96954. This bug describes the position of the riding entity, not whether they appear sitting or standing.Currently happening on 19w13a multiplayer server.
When player quickly disconnects/reconnects, it properly loads all chunks nearby.
I can confirm in 1.15.2 - A player built a boat-based elytra launcher and the server is constant throwing "Can't keep up!" messages in the console.
