I do not receive an error message on the website. It tells me that the skin will take a bit to upload (which I totally understand), but my skin still doesn't upload and my character shows up like Alex (I've only had this problem since the launcher updated).
Thank you so much Heather! Logging out and logging back in DID fix the problem, so I finally no longer have to use a resource pack to attempt a skin fix! Thank you again for finding a solution to the first bug that I ever reported to the tracker!
I have this issue too, I was setting up a snapshot review to record for my YT channel and I couldn't label any of the chests because the signs were all invisible.
My computer runs Windows 10 and I was on the current snapshot (17w13a)

Unfortunately, it does still happen (ever since 1.0.0 and still now in 1.0.2 for me).
And my apologies for posting a duplicate issue, I had not realized that it had already been reported.
I am sure that it's the launcher's fault now, as I still have the problem with my skin when I load the game in the newest 1.12 snapshot (17w06a).

I no longer have this issue as of snapshot 17w13b, thank you so much for your quick action to this annoying problem!
What the heck, I even searched for candle bugs and nothing came up. the search on this website is seriously broken.
Thanks for letting me know, Avoma!
