It seems that this phone came out in 2016 with a 2015 chipset. As the phone gets older and the game newer it is only normal for the performance to drop
I suggest the following:
1.Delete a few apps
If your storage is full or almost full it might not perform as well
2.Turn down the graphics and the render distance.
these are the main contenders if it is about bad performance.
3.Close all Your apps
Press the square button and swipe every single app away
4.Reboot your phone
Hold the off button to turn it completely off and then hold the button again to make it turn on(This is a common fix to most errors)
nvm. i found the problem. i needed to restart minecraft and then run the command. it worked fine
