When launching Minecraft, the game does either one of a couple of things. Either it will take forever to log into my Nintendo account, not do it, then show error code 2306-0502 "A server communication error has occurred. Please try again later." If that doesn't happen and it does successfully log into my Nintendo account, then it will have trouble logging into my Microsoft account and the same error will appear after a couple minutes. If they both log in, then my skins won't load and realms and servers won't work either. The same error appears after a short while as well. No matter what happens, a server communication error occurs and nothing works.
Usually, Minecraft for Nintendo Switch takes forever to log into my Microsoft account and the skins take a bit to load as well so that's not out of the ordinary. What is odd though is that now it never loads and shows the error. This has happened before in past updates throughout the years but not like this, because even after closing and reopening the game, it doesn't seem to fix it.
When I click "More Info" after getting the error, it says "The server is operating normally. Please try again later." I've been trying for days now, ever since the 1.20.70 update. Today, the game updated to 1.20.71 and that still hasn't fixed the issue.
After clicking the error to go away, the button "Sign in with a Microsoft Account" appears and a default skin appears in place. When clicking the sign-in button, it does successfully sign in, but the Xbox account avatar doesn't appear and the skin doesn't load.
I'm unable to play realms or servers without this working.
I've tried using different WiFi signal bands (2.4GHz and 5GHz), I've tried downloading the game and checking for corrupt data, and my WiFi speed is fine with ~100 MBPS download and ~15 MBPS
download and a NAT type B, my Microsoft account works because I am able to play with my phone and I know I have Nintendo Switch Online active because I am able to play multiplayer on other games. When launching Minecraft, the game does either one of a couple of things. I fixed this issue. I used to have this error a lot but I found a video on YouTube that fixes the problem.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CQdWbkdiOog
Steps to fix:
1: Go to settings on the Nintendo Switch
2: Go to data management
3: Click "Manage Software"
4: Click Minecraft
5: Go to the bottom and click "Check for Corrupt Data"
6: If it dosn't say there is any corrupt data, hit the "Redownload" button (Don't worry, all your saves and worlds will still be there)
Once it downloads again, it should work. If then problem appears again, just redo the steps in order again. Hopefully this fixed the issue with you guys.
Yeah, when you place a sign and write on it, it stays on the sign and isn't able to be seen by all other players. When you leave the realm and come back, the sign is still there but the text is gone. I added a photo of it happening on my Nintendo Switch. I think it affects every platform though. It also doesn't do this on my own worlds. I think it's a realm thing.
Yeah, sure! I don't know how to export worlds on mobile, though. I made the survival world yesterday on the beta. I started to notice when I went to a village, villagers would spawn in the doors. The world was made in 1.18.20.23
Ok so I ran a test. I had an older Dell desktop with integrated graphics and a prebuilt top of the line computer with a separate GPU. I ran them both with the help of my friend. For context we would play Murder Mystery on the HIVE. The older computer would consistently get the link glitch after 20 minutes while the high-end computer would get it consistently after an hour. I think it has something to do with integrated graphics. Hope this test helps. If you would like me re-do the test just ask me.
It happened to me on a private world. It only stopped after I filled up my hunger bar 100%. I've added a video to the page showing what happens.
I can also confirm it happens on 1.19.2 for bedrock on Nintendo Switch.
The pink glitch is finally going to be fixed soon. In the newest update for the beta they enclosed that they were going to fix it. Now we just have to wait for the full release for those of us who don't want to play on the beta.
My friends enchanted bow is invisible except for the enchantment glowing thing.
This is still happening with the most recent update (1.19.21).
Minecraft on Nintendo Switch has been super buggy since the new update. takes forever to log into Microsoft and a pop-up saying "Communication error occurred" happens every time you open the game. The skins never load. Realms don't work either. Images on the server list tab don't load. I've tried reinstalling the game and checking for corrupt data but nothing works. Also when joining worlds, text at the top appears saying some weird stuff. Does anyone know how to fix this? (Edit: I also never turned on experimental changes)
