This is happening to me too. Whenever I go in my world it doesn't save the progress I did and I realized whenever you to the nether the same thing happens when you go back.
I tried to but it said it had a error could not save attachment data from stream
I confirm that these settings are on and in other new worlds i made in 1.2, they show.
