MC-27536I type the @ symbol using ALT GR + V on my slovenian keyboard. But since 1.8-pre1 this combination is recognized as CTRL + V while I type in chat, command blocks and books.
I can not type the @ symbol, I have to copy and paste it. This only occurs in Minecraft, the key combination is properly recognized elsewhere [Web pages, Microsoft products, in other games etc.].
The issue is probably not Minecraft related and happened due to other changes in my system. But it is definitely suspicious, so I decided to report it here.
EDIT: ALT GR + V works properly when I am writing a sign.

EDIT 2: In the time since I posted this, I have tried it on several other computers with a Slovenian keyboard and it did not work. It must be an issue with updating Minecraft to 1.8 and not with my other system settings.
I did a few small serches with

I guess I should have tried with words like "slot" or "right click". Anyway, sorry for duplicating. In the future, I will search more.
This is not an issue any more. In the current versions, sand always replaces the snow. If one drops sand on another slab-like block (enchanting table, ender chest, bed ...), the sand always breaks into an item.

alt gr is recognized as ctrl when writing in command blocks, chat and books. That means ALT GR + V will be CTRL + V (paste).
It works fine when writing on sigs.
I can write []{}, but not @. It is really weird that []{} work for me but not for you!

Confirmed on Slovenian keyboard. A screenshot is taken with < not only when typing it in chat and signs, but also when no GUI is open and even when the game is paused (ESC).
