I tried to burn some coal ( then I found out that it is not a flamable block yet ) and I hit on the side but it didn't catch fire..

In other words: You can't put fire on the side of a stone block but you can on wood, wool and I think you should be able to do this on coal block too..
In snapshot 13w19a you have to hit a cow with a sword three times to kill it. From 13w21a you have to hit it only twice
on that one it says "Resolved" (and it is not) and the post is since 1.4.4.
You have to use seeds for Chicken and Carrots for Pigs. It's not a bug, it is intended ( since 1.4 )
Maybe the texture pack is the problem.. is it updated for the snapshot?
