It doesn't do anything else, just the whole minecraft window closes itself.
Minecraft Closes Unexpectedly (Doesn't Crash, Just Closes
I started the snapshot wanting to test some new features with villagers, so I got a seed with a village nearby. (This seed if it affects anything: 8273570472534601379 )
The minecraft window stopped at the attached screen, and the launcher that I always keep open said this:

Well, there's no crash report for the incident I believe. Minecraft just closes itself.. it doesn't show the crashed window.... it just closes. I'll look to see if it did leave a crash report in the files...
Edit: didn't find a crash report. Maybe "crash" in the report was the wrong word to use.
Have this same problem. Just log out and log back in.
Just reopened minecraft and loaded up the world. This time it ran fine.
I also tried starting a world again, put in the seed, and it crashed again with the same report. Seems to only be doing this when I load a new world with that seed. It's not occurring when I use another seed.
This only happens the first time you start the world with the custom seed. It doesn't happen when you force close minecraft and reopen the world's file, as when you do that the world opens fine.
Maybe these two seeds have something in common? Mine had a village in close proximity to the spawn point.
Looking at amidst, both are in a plains biome and both have a village nearby.
Going to attach the screenshot.
Updated to include the latest snapshot, which still has the issue.
New title doesn't make sense. When I was having this issue I was most certainly not loading a superflat world.
Edit, I can confirm this issue is fixed though on non-superflat worlds.
Still happening in 1.8.1. Discovered it by accident.
