When you jump with your horse and dismount mid air, the horse will stay in the air in its jumping animation. When you mount your horse again, this ends and your horse will fall to the ground. This happens in creative, adventure and survival mode.
When crafting, if you first open the crafting book and close it (or leave it open) than it works fine, even when you manualy put items in the crafting table.
This also happend to me! I already head a couple of advancements but I got the same screen.
Do other versions work?
This also happens when you load a bunch of chests with a structure block.
Blazes even fire at players who are in spectator mode.
