had the same thing, except on my PS4, it just was froze in the middle of the map and the map didn't move at all, it also caused every treasure map I found, even ones very far away from The first one to be the same one! So annoying!
You can fix the glitch by going into your inventory, and dequipping and equipping an item, or swapping and reswapping an item, temporarily.
Like 90% of the time it works.
