When I was attempting to create a piglin bartering sorter I made an automated sorter. When I would propel the items over ice aligned with the hoppers, the items would not be picked up. When I tried the same setup in a creative world, it worked.
I figured out the problem, it was a problem that there was a chunk border between the ice/hoppers.

I am having this same issue, but nothing is solving the issue. I believe since I am on a server hosted by a third-party, that the server will have to be restarted to recreate logging off and re-logging in a single-player world.
