Starting Screen Crash(Makes Minecraft unplayable)Starting Screen Crash 1.13.1
Starting Screen Crash 1.13.1Starting Screen Crash 1.14
UPDATE [12/11/19]: I experimented and turned on Airplane Mode and I saw the Mojang starting screen, but only for a couple of seconds before crashing again. Guess I can't play the Buzzy Bees update for a while.
When I try to boot up my game, I see a black screen for 5 to nearly 10 minutes instead of seeing the Mojang starting screen with a white background. After that, my game crashes. I even tried to put my game in Airplane Mode (an old solution to 1.12.1 crashes), but my game still crashes, making the game unplayable.
What makes this bug confusing is that some Nintendo Switch players can still play, while others like myself tolerate this crashing bug. The video below shows what my screen looks like right before the game crashes. Thank you for taking your time to read this issue.
EDIT: This has been fixed as of 1.16's full release.
I was testing out multiple resource packs that involve player animations (nothing that's game changing), and I noticed that the Elytra doesn't attach onto the player the way armor does when I activate the running animation.
This also affects Emotes in the 1.16 betas. I noticed someone use the Wave emote while wearing Elytra, and the wings were floating as if they weren't attached.
The two videos below are the best examples I could give, being a Nintendo Switch player.
I appreciate the time taken to read this.

I've noticed since Version 1.13 that on the Character Creator, the Travel Boots has this weird black texture on the right boot and the left boot doesn't have it.
No one has really reported this, so I decided to report it myself.

UPDATE: This bug has finally been fixed in version 1.17.10, at least for mobile and Nintendo Switch. Couldn't have been happier!

Update on 11/27/2020 This bug is still happening for me. Sadly, it has not been fixed.
Months ago, I've been enjoying the Nether Update and all of the features it has had to offer. One day, I tried to boot up Minecraft and it was stuck on a black screen for 5 to 10 minutes (sometimes even longer) and instead of showing the Mojang Studios screen, the game instead crashes. I have been unable to play Minecraft for a very long time now.
Because of this, I have been unable to access my Survival worlds, unable to access my Realms, and I haven't been able to play with my friends. It has been quite a lonely time.
I've tried uninstalling the game and redownloading, I've tried clearing cached data and checking for corrupt data, and I've even tried putting my game on Airplane Mode then booting it up. The game will still crash.
I actually reported this bug during 1.14 on a report titled "Starting Screen Crash 1.14", and thankfully it was fixed. I hope that this bug can be fixed once more.
Down below is a video showing the black screen, and a screenshot of the error screen I get when my game crashes.
Thank you for taking the time to read this report.

I've been noticing this bug on the Nintendo Switch as well on my main Nintendo account. I had to switch to my Japanese account just to play 1.16, which is very annoying since that means I have access to my Realms, but not my main worlds, like my Creative testing world or my main Survival world.
I hope this is fixed soon.
For me, I'm stuck on the black screen for at least 20 minutes before the game crashes. Usually, the game is supposed to take a minute to load before coming to the red Mojang Studios screen.
A system update on the Nintendo Switch fixed this issue for 1.14,60, but it didn't last very long. I'm not able to access my Minecraft at all now.
A way I'd have to bypass the issue is putting my Switch on Airplane Mode, waiting for 20 minutes, then pressing OK on the Airplane Mode screen. However, it made my game take forever just to load simple things like the Character Creator, joining worlds, just about everything.
I have to admit that this loading screen bug has been a bit repetitive with each update. People have had to delete their accounts and lose their data just to play Minecraft again.
Hopefully this issue is fixed in the next 1.16 hotfix.
This has been happening on Nintendo Switch as well, except uninstalling it doesn't work for me. Hopefully, it's fixed soon.
Yep. The missing texture on the boots is still there to this day.
Yes. This still happens to me, even in 1.17.2. I only wish to play my favorite game once more. Last time this happened years ago, I was unable to play and was forced to make a new account.
Now, the bug has returned.
To this day, I never saw the items again. When I equipped them, they were deleted off of my avatar. A real shame. I enjoyed wearing those items.
Hopefully someday they'll return and won't glitch out of existence.
EDIT: There is the possibility that these items could have been linked to Minecraft Earth's character creator, but that's merely a thought.
I experience this issue as well, but I am temporarily playing Minecraft on my second Switch account until this bug is fixed.
Playing on a different Switch account seems to be the only way to play for now. You may still be able to join any realms you are in/you created, you just won't have any worlds from your main account or whichever account you play on. Hopefully this bug can be fixed in the future.
It'd be a shame to lose my yearly survival world on my main account.
