Sometimes when you try to place sand/gravel in place that will cause it to fall with the new gravity mechanics it will disappear and not be placed or fall. The sand/gravel will also be used out of your inventory.
Also if you remove a block of sand/gravel at the bottom of a column of sand/gravel the whole column of sand/gravel above it disappears as well.

Update:
If sand/gravel falls on sand/gravel it will disappear, if it falls on other blocks like dirt it won't disappear.
Also if it falls on snow it will float there. Attached picture of this.

Update 2:
Ignore comments about only disappear on sand/gravel tried this again and its disappearing on most blocks now.

You are right I've tried it again and it does seem a bit random when it decides with destroy the block. When I updated my report it was reliably only destroying blocks on sand/gravel but now its not.. hmm
Thanks Aron
One thing I noticed about the falling snow is that it would replace the snow block if it fell more than 2 blocks
I've noticed this when using realms. When I open world and if I was standing on some land that has changed from the default seed I will be half submerged in the block I spawn into.
If the land was he same level as the default seed then I spawn correctly.
Sometimes this can result in my falling through the block I was standing on if there is nothing below the block I half spawn in to.
Yes evil mobs are still too stupid and slow.. I liked the mega fast spiders!
I think I have the same or similar issue, I though I was going mad. I though there was a block or type of block near by affecting it but everything I have tried does not work.
I can confirm this issue, I have many worlds corrupted now. They will open for a few seconds then crash the game.
Happened to me twice when there lots of mobs on the screen. Not sure if the crash is related to the game save corruption or if the game is not leaving the level data in a good place when it crashes?
They did turn hostile for me. The wolf behaviour is incorrect tho. Have only tested this in creative as not found wolf in survival yet. They don't attack another mob when you attack it. There is no way of feeding them. The wolves collar is black instead of red. The wolf does not make any sounds.
