When I place carpet and walk on it , it does not make the walking on carpet sound, instead you hear whatever material I placed it on. Ie: I place carpet on wood, you hear wood. I place carpet on cobblestone, you hear cobblestone and not the carpet.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. place wood plank blocks as a floor
2. walk on wood plank floor to observe sound is wood plank sound
3. place any carpet on top of wood plank floor4. walk on wood plank floor covered by red carpet, only wood plank sound will play instead of carpet sound.
Observed Results:
Block under any carpet will sound for walking on top of instead of the carpet sound that should play.Expected Results:
I expect that carpet will play a sound that relates to the type of carpet placed on top of a block instead of the block under the carpet playing as the sound when I walk on it.
Carpet sounds are still missing and they definitely used to be there. Now walking on carpet you hear the sound of whatever block it is placed on. Please fix.
Hello, I'm sorry I am not inactive just unable to login for a bit. Yes this issue still exists and has been ongoing through all updates.
issue still present in 1.18.10 for PS4 and Win10. very frustrating to see this still going on.
this issue is still ongoing with 1.19.3
This is still an issue with the latest update/release of tales and trails update
after reviewing the new code it seems that carpet has a sound attached, cloth. the issue is that when walking on carpet the game is not recognizing that the player is 'on' the carpet so it only plays the sound for the block under it.
reproduction steps:
1 place carpet on any block
2 walk on carpet
3 bug is exposed sound played is the block under the carpet not the cloth sound

Thank you for your reply. as you can see the instant I try and download the game I get the error. however I do have room for it not just on the console storage but also on the game storage bar.
